What are the advantages of a ground screw foundation over a concrete foundation?

Ground screws, also known as ground anchors, are an easy and environmentally friendly alternative to concrete foundations. Screws into the ground without digging before installation.

More and more people are using ground screws instead of concrete foundations. So what are the advantages of grounding screws compared to concrete?

1.The ground screw has different lengths to choose from, and the depth of the screw screwed into the ground can be adjusted during installation to adjust the height of the ground screw.

Although concrete can also be pre-cast concrete foundations of different heights according to the ground, once the pouring is completed and the height needs to be changed, a new one must be pre-cast, and the height cannot be adjusted conveniently.

2.Anchor screws are easier to install than concrete foundations

(1)No need to dig back. The ground screws do require some force to screw them in by hand, but that's nothing compared to digging holes.

(2)No need to mix messy concrete by hand or with a mixer.

(3)The positioning of the ground screw can often be more flexible to avoid underground cables or pipes.

(4)No need to worry about pouring concrete and waiting for it to cure. Tighten the screws and you can build structures on top of it.

(5)Time spent installing ground screws is faster than traditional concrete foundations.

3.Ground screws are more sustainable than concrete foundations

(1)The ground screw is reusable, so it can be unscrewed from the ground after being used on one project and re-used on another.

(2)Made from galvanized steel, these grounding screws are 100% recyclable so they won't end up in landfill.

(3)The manufacturing process of ground screws produces only a fraction of the carbon emissions produced during the production of concrete.

(4)Ground screws won't disturb the soil's ecosystem, making it easier to restore the site to its original state if you remove the structure in the future.

(5)Ground screws eliminate the need to dig out the soil in exchange for concrete, so no material is wasted.

In addition to these advantages, ground screw foundations also last a long time. They come with a 25-year guarantee and a total life expectancy of over 75 years. As far as building materials go, that's quite a boast indeed.
Last but not least, ground screws are more cost-effective than the concrete required for traditional foundations.
